First time I remember Growing up on the farm

Getting up early when the rooster crowed Doing all my chores

Feeding the horses feeding the chickens

Stepping in something and coming home stinking

That was my life back on the farm It´s been a long time

But lately I´m thinking

 

Still got country deep inside still wanna dance still wanna ride

A beer in my hand a honky tonky band having a good time

Kiss my baby have a fun take it easy when the day is done

And tomorrow sing the same song again Have a good time…

 

Living in a big town sure does have it´s charms

You can sure get turned around forgot who you are

Shiny things made of money empty words sweet as honey

All look good from the outside

But I need sweet ice tea and moonshine
